82-0 vs Wordle
Both are daily games you can finish in a few minutes and argue about afterwards. They are hard in completely different ways — one is a deduction puzzle with a single right answer, the other is a gamble you cannot fully control.
The same puzzle vs your own puzzle
Wordle's whole social contract is that everyone gets the identical word, so comparing scores means something. 82-0's daily run hands everyone the same starting conditions too, but what happens next depends on the five you draft — two people can make completely different teams from the same prompt and both be defensible.
That changes what sharing a result means. A Wordle 3/6 is straightforwardly better than a 5/6. An 82-0 run is more like a hand of cards you chose to play a certain way.
Deduction vs risk
Wordle rewards narrowing. Every guess removes possibilities, and a good player is mostly managing information. Nothing is random once the word is set — if you lose, you misplayed.
82-0 rewards judgement under uncertainty. You are picking players whose real careers had good and bad nights, and the season simulates those nights. A perfect draft can still drop a game. That is the point: 82-0 has never happened in real life either.
If Wordle is your daily habit
Play the daily run first — it is the closest thing here to Wordle's one-shot format, and it takes about the same few minutes. Come back tomorrow for a different set of conditions.
If you want the deduction feeling instead of the gamble, One Franchise mode narrows the pool to a single team's history, which makes the draft much more about knowing the roster and much less about luck.
